Filter Reddit by domain

One site can account for a surprising share of what reaches your feed: the same Daily Prophet story, posted into five communities by five different people. Filter the site and every one of those posts stops arriving, while the communities, the topic, and the people posting all stay. You are cutting a source, not a subject.

Add a site address and stop its posts

Type the address under Domains, such as dailyprophet.com, and every link post pointing there stops reaching your feeds, community pages, search results, and profiles. An address takes at most two periods (and 25 characters).

Cover the subdomains and shorteners too

A domain filter matches the address exactly: * and # are not accepted, and news.dailyprophet.com is its own entry rather than something dailyprophet.com covers. Sites also publish under a second, shorter address, so if dailyprophet.com links also arrive as dlyp.co, add both.

Take the big platforms from a ready-made list

Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter and the rest of a ready-made list arrive with their addresses already collected, one switch per platform, under Social Media. Social Media is a preset over the same domain list, so a platform you switch on there is matched exactly the way an address you typed is.

Filter Reddit’s own images and videos

Reddit hosts images at i.redd.it and videos at v.redd.it, and either can be added, so a feed of nothing but pictures thins out while text posts and outside links stay. Reddit’s main addresses, reddit.com among them, are the one thing the list refuses: they carry every kind of Reddit content, and filtering them would hide Reddit itself.
