Set up Protego in one tap
Protego lets you clean up Reddit in one step, with presets that range from hiding ads to a stripped-back feed.
Reddit asks for something in every direction you look: install the app, sign up, try the games, join this community, read these related posts. One choice takes that whole layer off your pages, and takes as much of the decoration with it as you want. Nothing gets locked in, and every switch behind the choice stays yours.
Hide Reddit’s promotions with Minimal
The Minimal preset hides Reddit’s app nudges, ads, games, sign-up prompts, recommendations, Join buttons, and achievement updates. Posts keep their thumbnails, scores, and flair. Pinned moderator comments and comments with media are collapsed, not hidden.
Clear the decoration with Balanced
The Balanced preset hides everything Minimal does, plus award buttons, achievement badges, community and author avatars, community status emoji, banners, and flair. Most of them are also their own switches in visual clutter.
Strip Reddit down with Focused
The Focused preset goes furthest. It also hides post thumbnails, vote counts, the crosspost button, and Reddit Answers. Commenter avatars become plain circles, and comments with media are hidden instead of collapsed.
Turn off everything a preset changed
The Off preset turns off every setting the presets cover. Doing that by hand means going through the Transform screens switch by switch. Your filters and Limits stay as they are.
