Hide app nudges and ads
Protego lets you hide Reddit’s app nudges, ads, sign-up prompts, recommendations, and AI answers.
You open a thread to read it and find a banner over the top of it, a sign-in popup, a sponsored post where a real one would be, and a column of communities you never asked about. Protego takes all of that off the page. A preset can turn most of them on at once.
Stay in Safari without Reddit app nudges
Reddit pushes its app with banners, Open App buttons, and a wall that freezes the page. Turn on Reddit app nudges to hide them all and scroll again. Safari adds its own Smart App Banner while the Reddit app is installed. No extension can hide it, so uninstall the app to remove it too.
Browse feeds without promoted posts and ads
Turn on Promoted posts & ads to hide sponsored posts, ads on comment pages and in community sidebars, and the Advertise button.
Keep Reddit’s games out of view
Turn on Games on Reddit to hide Reddit’s games section from the left sidebar.
Browse logged out without login and signup nudges
Logged out, new Reddit shows a sign-in popup, Log In and Sign Up buttons, and a signup card in the left rail. Turn on Login & signup nudges to hide all of it. You can still sign in from the top-right menu.
Read a post without recommendations
Reddit surrounds what you read with suggestions. Turn on Recommendations to hide suggested communities in the sidebar and feed, and Related Posts and People Also Ask on a post’s page.
Search without Reddit Answers
Turn on Reddit Answers to hide Reddit’s AI answer block above search results. Search itself keeps working. Words Reddit turns into links inside comments become plain text again, and links people write stay. New Reddit only.
Scroll feeds without Join buttons
Turn on Join buttons to hide the Join button on posts from communities you have not joined. New Reddit only.
